Supporters of Heartland on Monday marched through major streets of Owerri, capital of Imo State, in celebration of the club’s victory at the Super Four tournament in Kano.
Leader of the group, Bob Nzenwa, told the News Agency of Nigeria during the procession that it was another history-making event by the Naze Millionaires.
The procession had started from the Dan Anyiam Stadium through Wetheral Road and Douglas Road, terminating at the Government House, Owerri.
According to him, the fans of Heartland were happy to be associated with the club, particularly because of the victory.
He said with the recent successes of the club, Heartland have become the favourite to win the upcoming CAF Confederation Cup.
He enjoined the Imo State Government, owners of the club, to always support it with necessary incentives to boost the morale of the players.
Heartland defeated Lobi Stars 2-0 in the final of the Super Four to emerge the winners of the pre-league season tournament.
Enugu Rangers, Lobi Stars, Heartland and hosts, Kano Pillars, took part in the competition.
