If it’s true that 83 per cent of oil blocks are held by northerners as claimed by Senator Ita Enang, then how on earth do we expect that deliberation on PIB will ever scale through the National Assembly? The indifference of the executive and stakeholders in oil and gas sector is not far but enormous. The fact remains that Nigerian leaders have been chasing shadows, hence the good reasons while ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo never had one minister of petroleum in his eight years period. One day, the conclusion of corruption will come or the end of looting will come when oil reserves shall empty and economic flight will become obvious.
