Maritime Millionaires, the football team of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, on Wednesday qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing Ships & Ports Maritime Cup Competition.
Nigeria Customs Service, ENL Consortium and Ocean Star are the other semi-finallists.
NIMASA secured the semi-final ticket by defeating leading terminal operator, APM Terminals, Apapa 2-0 at the National Stadium, Lagos.
It is the first time NIMASA would advance to the last-four stage.
Ntebe Jude scored the two goals for NIMASA in the 44th and 55th minutes of the game.
Defending champions, Nigeria Customs Service, also secured a semi-final ticket after defeating former champions and last year’s runners-up, Micura Stevedoring Services, 3-1.
Edim Mben scored the first goal for Customs in the first half, while Abubakar Mukaila tucked in the second goal in the 33rd minute before Haliru Abdul made it three in the second half.
In another match ENL Consortium defeated Nigerian Shippers Council 4-2 via penalty shootout after a barren draw at full time.
