Whoever is afraid of the Freedom of Information Act can never be a progressive. A progressive cannot be indifferent to the FoI Act. Likewise, by their antecedents, people of the South-West cannot be found opposing progressive initiatives in the mould of the FoI Act.
The understanding of the average progressive is that FoI Act is meant to enhance good governance, transparency, and accountability in Nigeria. Only a government with a skeleton in its cupboard will oppose the Act. For good governance in Nigeria, our organisation implores all progressive-minded individuals to support the implementation of the Act in all states of the federation.
