Former Super Eagles coach, Paul Hamilton, on Wednesday appealed to the Nigeria Football Federation and the national team’s coaching crew to put aside their differences and concentrate on qualifying for the World Cup in Brazil.

Hamilton told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos that all parties concerned must work together to secure a World Cup berth for Nigeria.

He urged coach Stephen Keshi to stay focused and avoid controversies as this could have the potential to mar the team’s chances of qualifying for the event.

“It’s a World Cup ticket we can’t afford to lose; I’m appealing to the NFF and the Super Eagles coaching staff to stay united,” Hamilton said.

“All parties concerned must work together for the common good of the country in qualifying for the Mundial.

“I’m urging Keshi not to lose focus on the good work he started and not be swayed by unnecessary controversies.”

Hamilton expressed confidence that the Eagles will qualify for the World Cup and perform positively at the FIFA Confederations Cup holding from June 15 to June 30 in Brazil

“I am confident that we have a well assembled team that will make Nigeria proud. We are the champions of Africa. It is not an easy feat to be kings of Africa. The future is very bright for our football,” he added.
