This is to draw the attention of Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, to the deplorable state of Agbado-Abule-Ijoko-Sango Road.
The mass of people living along this route are currently going through hell to access other parts of the state and the nearby Lagos as the road gets messier by the day especially when it rains.
Many have abandoned the Agbado-Ijoko end because of “River Ope-Ilu” at the centre of the road, which is about one kilometre to Agbado.
People also spend two to three hours between Sango and Abule, a journey that ordinarily should not be more than 20 minutes.
Apart from Ope-Ilu, the Plaza-end near Sango and Opo Suru-end, near Abule, are other dreaded spots.
Numerous deep gullies run through these sections of the road. Motorists do zigzag movements when the road is dry.
It becomes heavily flooded after every rain and many vehicles easily get trapped there, compounding the traffic situation.
From Abule to Robiyan, Mosafejo and Ori-Okuta, residents have resorted to self help to make the only major road linking the area passable.
If the governor visits the place now, he will see members of the community collecting tolls to grade and maintain the only link road.
