Nigerian sprinter Blessing Okagbare is delighted over her form since the season began.
During IAAF Diamond League at Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, USA, last Saturday, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games gold medallist came second with 10.75 in the women’s 100m behind Jamaica’s Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who finished in 10.75.
After the Oregon meet, Nigerian queen of the tracks said she was impressed by her performance, including placing second in long jump at the IAAF Diamond League in Doha, Qatar on May 10.
“It was really amazing and huge for me and overall, the season is going really great for me including practice and even though initially I didn’t know what I was expecting but I wasn’t expecting anything less than this and am just grateful to God that everything is going on well,” StarAfrica quoted Okagbare as saying.
The 24-year-old won silver in the 100m during the last African Games in Benin where she dropped her 2010 title to Gabon’s Ruddy Zang Milama.
