Shitta Foluso, Lekki Phase I, Lagos State, +23480371704: Recently, the whole world watched helplessly the devastation of New York City and parts of the eastern coastline in the United States. Lagos should wake up and hurry up to protect its coastline with sea walls against the ever-rising level of the Atlantic Ocean and sea all over the world. Our coastline, including high value estates in Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Parkview. Osborne,Victoria Garden City, Lekki Phases I and II, and the new Eko Atlantic City , as it is presently is highly vulnerable and exposed to being overrun and submerged by high tidal waves. The bulk of the state Internally Generated Revenue comes from these areas and it is only expedient and economically sensible to invest urgently in building seawalls and other sea protection infrastructure to save these high revenue generating resources being wiped out before this mid-century era. This is a time bomb waiting to explode unless it is diffused now. Let us spend heavily by investing in the protection of our coastal environment in order to preserve and bequeath the area for generations yet unborn.
