International Breweries Plc has donated a block of toilets to the Osun State Police Command.

Chief Operating Officer of the Ilesa, Osun State-based brewery, Mr. Carlos Gomez, who handed over the toilets to police authorities, said IBL would continue to perform its social responsibilities.

The two-room toilet built at Ayeso Police Divisional Station would be used by police officers attached to the station, a statement by the brewery said on Sunday.

Corporate Affairs Manager IBL, Mrs. Folashade Omole, said the company would continue to add value to the lives of its customers and non-customers through provision of quality products and services.

Gomez said, “IBL decided to build these toilets for the police after a request was made. We believe that the toilets will serve the police well. IBL will not shy away from its corporate social responsibility at anytime because we are a responsible company.”

Police Area Commander, Mr. Tunde Turner, commended the brewery for contributing to the development of the society, urging other corporate organisations to emulate IBL.

According to Turner, individuals have roles to play in nation building, stressing that police-community partnership will check crime in the society.

Chairman, Police Community Relation Committee, Mr. Bode Oduwale, commended IBL for impacting positively on the lives of the people.
