Delta State Government is to close down all illegal health facilities in the state.
It also threatened to revoke all allocated but unoccupied housing units in the state.
Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, who stated this while reviewing the state Dashboard Implementation Workshop, also directed the Direct Labour Agency to complete all road repair works in Warri and Asaba before the end of the year.
He said all clinics, nursing homes and pharmacies operating illegally or below the minimum required standard would be shut forthwith.
According to him, the state has made progress in the health sector, especially as it has met the World Health Organisation standard on doctor/hospital ratio as well as other paramedical staff ratio to the population of the state.
He, therefore, charged the workers in the sector to be more vigilant and diligent in their duties to ensure that the standard was improved upon.
The governor, who threatened to cancel the allocation to all unoccupied government houses, said his administration had earmarked N1.5bn for housing projects in the state.
He added that the state would encourage the private sector to invest in the sector.
