Winner of the Cessna 182T aeroplane in the MTN Wonder Promo, Ebube Essien-Garricks, savoured her first celebrity outing at the Corporate Elite Nite held at Eko Hotels, Lagos on Sunday.
The event, which was compered by popular media personality, Olisa Adibua, witnessed an informal induction for Essien-Garricks into a glamorous world filled with entertainment enthusiasts. In the hall filled with people, she sat in a corner, smiling and enjoying her new found status.
There were live performances by some Nigerian and international artistes, including afro juju singer, Shina Peters, Dr. Sid and Tiwa Savage of Marvin Records. Timi Dakolo and Bovi were also on ground to add colour to the event by supplying jokes that left tears at the corner of many eyes.
The high point of the event came when Essien-Garricks mounted the podium to receive the cheque of the N64m she won in the promo. Beaming with smiles, she said, “I just want to thank everyone in MTN for what they have done in my life.”
