Even as I am penning down this write-up, the last bill the Power Holding Company of Nigeria brought to me was N204,747.02.This is crazy, outrageous and very disgusting. I am therefore appealing to the PHCN through this medium to correct this anomaly and stop sending me bills to cables dropped on the ground since last year.
I have no meter and have been on what they call fixed consumption. Every effort to get a prepaid meter from PHCN failed. I do not understand how I am billed and no one has ever cared to explain to me how they arrived at bills sent to me. Though I inherited an accumulated bill from the outgoing tenant, the PHCN insisted that I must clear the sum. At a point, I could no longer pay and my cables were dropped in October,2012 with N86,000 as my bill.
To my greatest surprise, and till date, the PHCN is still sending bills to me even when I have been long disconnected from the pole.
